Study day: Asian Textiles

Sumptuous and vibrant, Asian textiles are a visual feast. This summer school explores the designs, techniques and rich textile traditions of Kashmir shawls, Japanese kimonos, Chinese costume, Malaysian songket and Tibetan tiger rugs, followed by afternoon tea.

A handling session will be included as well as the opportunity to view the new Kashmir shawl display case at the Ashmolean with the speaker.

Venue: Hedley Lecture theatre, Ashmolean Museum
