A full day from 10am celebrating contemporary Indonesian art and culture in the UK. With events including films, workshops, gamelan and dance performances, Indonesian language classes, and a food market selling traditional Indonesian dishes, there will be something here for everyone. There will also be talks on Indonesian textiles from Sandra Niessen and Diane Gaffney, and an exhibition of textiles from Sumatra.
Organiser ARTi UK, established in August 2010, is a non-profit organisation aiming at promoting Indonesian arts and culture within the UK’s cultural diversity.
